Every household should have a couple of go-to cookie recipes one can whip up when the need strikes. For us, it’s these almond flour chocolate chip cookies. They are perfectly sweet and tasty, simple, and relatively healthy. Which with two little ones is something I like to take into consideration more times than not when baking.
Jump to RecipeI make these almond flour chocolate chip cookies often, but most recently was for my son’s birthday. They were the first dessert to go! That’s right. The healthier option, which was low carb with almond flour and less sugar, was the dessert that ot eaten first. And we had lots of good stuff. Rice crispy squares, cookies, and cupcakes with all the sugar and flour. Pretty sure that means these are darn good.
The ingredients are pretty simple too. Almond flour, I like geting mine from Costco, egg, butter, maple syrup, vanilla, and chocolate chips. I find the mini chocolate chips are better but regular ones work too. I have no issues with regular flours and sugars, and bake with them too, but it’s always nice to have some healthier options that are still just as delicious.
