I use to make this smoothie, or a variation of it, all the time. It was kind of my way to show family how good a smoothie could be with a bunch of veggies and some fruit. Typically spinach or kale is used for some green, but adding more veg, like cucumber or celery adds such a nutritional punch too.
I call this the happy tummy smoothie for a few reasons. Ginger is lovely to help settle the stomach and adds a great spice kick to the smoothie. The cucumber is another great addition. It helps with digestion, hydrates the body and skin, and is nutrient dense. The spinach packs in a good amount of iron too. I use banana for sweetness, but pineapple and a few dates are also delicious.
I love my Vitamix. I can’t find the one I have but this is similar. Nothing get a smoothie as creamy and smooth.
