Homemade Cashew Butter

Cashew butter Homemade nut butter is one of the most basic recipes on the blog.  If you’re anything like me, sometimes coming across homemade staples is a good reminder to make something myself.  I was in the market the other day picking up cashew butter, amongst other things.  Standing there, staring at the $14 tag, I said F it and cruised over to the bulk isle to grab a bag of roasted, unsalted cashews.  10 minutes in a food processor and half the dollar amount left me feeling quite proud of myself.

Homemade Cashew Butter


  • 2 cups roasted unsalted cashes
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • large pinch of sea salt


  1. Place all the ingredients in a food processor. Mix for about 10 minutes, stopping a couple times to scrape down the sides.
