This mustard bath mixture is the perfect addition to a warm bath. Whether you’re feeling under the weather or just wanting a little detox, a scoop of this powder mix will surely help you out. I like to add a few drops of essential oil as well and light a delicious candle to create a perfectly relaxing ambiance. Mustard is know to warm the body, helping ease sore muscles, body aches, and open pores to release toxins. Epsom salts, which contain the minerals magnesium and sulfate, also help relieve sore muscles and pull toxins. While your pores are open releasing toxins, those minerals, magnesium and sulfate, also work their way into your body. Baking soda also helps pull toxins and can lightly exfoliate.
- 1 cup mustard powder
- 1 cup epsom salts
- 1 cup baking soda
- *optional essential oils
- Place all ingredients in a bowl. Whisk until combined. Store in large glass jar. I use about 1/2 cup per bath, sometimes a little more.
I was hit hard this year with the cold / flu that was going around. This bath was on repeat several times a week and was such a help to ease my aching body.
* A couple note : be careful stepping out of the tub, it may be slippery. Also, I like to rinse off after because the mustard leaves a residue on my skin.
