The temperature is finally starting to drop in LA, decorations are going up, and the holiday spirit is coming out. Attending parties and hosting gatherings is one of my favorite aspects of the holiday season. I love having people over any time of the year, but during the holidays things just seem more special and magical. I will be hosting a Friendsgiving soon for a few friends. Rather than stick with the usual Thanksgiving dishes, I decided to go with a tapas style menu. With two Thanksgiving dinners to attend and I’m sure a ton of leftovers, I will be getting my fill of traditional dishes. Having a different theme, like tapas, still lends to a fun holiday gathering while offering guests something different from traditional meal. I am having each guest bring 1 or 2 tapas dishes which allows everyone to participate and makes sure the host isn’t stuck in the kitchen for hours. I’ll be making several dishes, keeping the festive cocktails flowing with some background holiday music ensuring a successful Friendsgiving.
